The Public Information Office receives numerous requests from a variety of sources including other criminal justice agencies, attorneys, the media and the general public. Requests most frequently pertain to specific case records and programss. Processing all such requests through a centralized office helps ensure that accurate and timely information is given and that confidentiality laws are strictly followed. A court order is needed to release probation information and records.
