Circuit Court of Cook County launches updated, interactive website

Announcement, Press Release |

CHICAGO – The Circuit Court of Cook County has launched a renovated, easier-to-navigate website at cookcountycourt.org.

The redesigned website replaces a previous version that was more than 12 years old and regularly viewed by more than 1 million users annually.

“I am pleased to unveil this updated, redesigned website which will make it easier for the public to find important information about our court system,” said Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans. “From adding tools to make it easier to find out which courthouse they need to visit, to being able to search for the amenities available at each courthouse location, we believe our website will improve access to justice for all Cook County residents. It will also help our justice partners, including judges, attorneys and other court personnel.”

The Court signed a $687,400 contract with Clarity Partners, in January 2023, to re-platform the existing website on a modern Drupal Content Management System (CMS). The new mobile-friendly platform, coupled with a significant redesign, will enable the Court to share information more easily with the public it serves. Specifically, the creation of new Case Type pages will help users easily find and access information to assist them with their inquiry. New Location pages will offer visitors a one-stop-shop to access important information about our courthouses, including maps, building directories, resources for families and much more.

“The Clarity team was excited by the opportunity to work on a website project that provides such vital information to the Cook County community,” said Clarity Partners Project Manager Shea Fisher. “By working closely with the Office of the Chief Judge team, we have been able to significantly refresh the website’s aesthetics while simultaneously improving the website’s overall user experience.”

Clarity is a minority-owned, privately-held company founded in 2004, focused on bringing full-service management and information technology solutions to complex public sector challenges.
