GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2014-11
SUBJECT: PRE-INDICTMENT TENDER OF CRIMINAL HISTORY INFORMATION
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that, in the interest of ensuring full, fair, and appropriate discovery for use in pre-indictment proceedings in criminal court, the prosecution shall tender to the defense in all criminal cases the defendant's criminal history information. Said criminal history shall be in written or electronic format, shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, information available from the Illinois Law Enforcement Agencies Data System (LEADS) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), and shall be tendered to defense counsel before the commencement of the defendant's bond hearing.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that nothing in this order shall be interpreted to limit the judge presiding from ordering or the parties from providing additional discovery information in pre-indictment proceedings.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this order shall be effective immediately.
