GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER No.: 2019-01 Sentences of probation; Adult Probation Department; intermediate sanctions

Pursuant to Article 6 of Chapter V of the Unified Code of Corrections, 730 ILCS 5/5-6-1,
et seq., and for the purpose of updating the court's policies and procedures for supervising
persons serving sentences of probation,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the annexed system of structured, intermediate sanctions for
violations of the terms and conditions of a sentence of probation is adopted for use by the court's
Adult Probation Department (A.P.D.);

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said sanctions shall supersede all other policies and
procedures currently employed by the A.P.D. regarding intermediate sanctions; and

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that nothing in said sanctions shall be interpreted to limit the
authority or discretion of the judge supervising the sentence of probation to impose greater,
lesser, or different sanctions in specific cases.
